6TH ANNUAL CASEY NEAL ROGERS MEMORIAL ROCKFISH TOURNAMENT

Preliminary Rules and Regulations

Subject to change before the tournament
1.  The deadline for entry fees shall be November 20, 2007 at 7:00 PM

2.  Weather considerations will be Captain's Choice.  Fishermen will fish at their own discretion and accept full responsibility for their vessel and crew. For the purpose of safety, all boats must adhere to all U.S. Coast Guard regulations for their size.

3. Official fishing time will begin at 7:00 AM. (no lines in the water until 7:00 AM). Boats may leave from any port but may not fish until 7:00 AM.

4.  Boundaries for this tournament are the Annapolis Bay Bridge to the north and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel to the south.

5. There will be no official ending time for fishing, but all fish must be delivered to the official Weighmaster, or his representative by  4:00 PM.

6. There are three tags in your bag; each has your entry number on it and one has a "Y" on it.  Two tags are for the combined weight entry and the "Y" tag is for a YOUTH ENTRY.  The captain is responsible for placing a tag on each rockfish to be weighed prior to reaching the dock.  Each boat may submit three rockfish for weigh-in; two rockfish must be submitted for the combined weight entry and a third rockfish may be submitted for the youth entry if there is one. NO FISH MAY BE SUBMITTED WITH TWO TAGS; THE SAME ROCKFISH MAY NOT BE ENTERED FOR BOTH THE COMBINED WEIGHT PRIZE AND A YOUTH PRIZE.

7.  The Tournament winner is determined by the TOTAL COMBINED WEIGHT OF TWO ROCKFISH.  In the event of identical weights, THE HEAVIEST FISH WILL DETERMINE THE WINNER.

8.  The youth division includes all persons 17 and under.  The "Y" tag is for youth enteries only.  Only one rockfish is required for a youth entry;  the heaviest rockfish determines the winner of the youth division.

9.  Only Rockfish may be entered into the competition.

10.  Fish submitted to the Weighmaster may be claimed by their owners as soon as they are weighted and determined not to be winners.  Winning fish may be claimed by their owners after inspection by the tournament committee.

11.  All fish must be caught on hook and line.

12. Fish shall not be mutilated in any way.  It is the contestant's responsibility to ice and maintain fish in good condition.

13. In the event a Captain must make a boat change, no boat may be replaced after 7:00 p.m. on November 20, 2007.

14. Two or more boats congregating close enough to pass fish may be disqualified from the competition.

15. The Tournament Committee will make announcements every 30 minutes starting at 2:00 PM on VHF Channel 66.

16.  The official Weighmaster will be located at Smith Point Marina.  He will only accept fish for weigh-in which are brought in by eligible boats to that dock or are accompanied by one of his representatives when brought by land from the dock at Buzzards Point Marina.
